“There is no word to describe this idea. In fact, I have no doubt, it is incomprehensible that the European Union is openly willing to take up the European Nazi ideology” said the Russian FM.

Lavrov stated that Russia will not tolerate the ideology of superiority which, according to him, drives the EU to consider sending troops to Ukraine, with the aim of eradicating it and restoring European values, arguing that the EU acts on the basis of a feeling of superiority, ignoring the opinions of others in decision-making.

“This is not the way to talk to Russia. And if this coalition of volunteers is led by some sane leader, I think they should realize that quickly. Otherwise, they will continue on a war footing without any ambiguity. That is their choice,” Lavrov insisted.

The Russian FM says that the leaders of France, Germany and the United Kingdom, with their “openly bellicose slogans” and threats against Russia, want to “cling to power” referring as hostile and aggressive to the positions of Emmanuel Macron, Friedrich Merz and Keir Starmer.

However, he reiterated President Vladimir Putin’s willingness to address any problems. ” Of course, we are educated people and expect decency from those who inevitably come to us.”

Lavrov took the opportunity to reject threats from Brussels to leaders of EU member states about their decision to visit Moscow to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the victory over Nazism.

“It is amazing how the European Union openly wants to renew the European ideology of Nazism, where it originated, where it was destroyed and categorically banned by the Nuremberg Court, also in the territory of Europe,” he said.
