Defining Moment for Putin: Stand up to US/Israel Empire of Chaos, or Fold?

This is To Be or Not To Be Defining Moment much more for Putin and Russia, than for Syria and Assad.
Vladimir Soloviev, the host of a primetime political TV show and knows Putin personally tweets: “The situation now is quite comparable to the Cuban Missile Crisis. A nuclear war could erupt in the blink of an eye. And it’s unlikely that mankind will be able to survive it.”

New anti-Russian sanctions, Russian financial markets in meltdown, a tumbling ruble, Western threats to bomb Syrian forces and its backers in Syria, the Skripal false flag – what’s happening?

Welcome to the fourth presidential mandate, mister Putin! All these actions are part of the carefully planned campaign that serves as the welcoming package for most likely the last presidential mandate of the Russian president.

The West is basically sending a clear message to the Russian president. You will have six years of constant crises and hell. We will make sure you don’t have one peaceful day. And sorry, there is no way you will have time to focus on Russia’s inner problems and domestic issues as promised during your presidential campaign.

It will also be tough times for the Russian economy. However, Russians should realize that having 20K rubles (300 dollars) salary is better than having 20 million dead people like in WW2. This is a small price to pay for being one of the last sovereign nations left in the world. In the long term, it is better to cut Russian dependency on Western technology, imports and markets.

Russia needs to take several resolute steps that will inflict significant costs on Washington and its Western vassals:

  • ECONOMIC MEASURES: Ban all major American companies in Russia, that can be easily substituted with Russian equivalents.
    • All McDonalds, Burger Kings, Pizza Huts, and Starbucks should be banned. These measures will not hurt the Russian economy that much as Russia already has its own fast food franchises.
    • Ban American software companies in Russia. There are bunch of Russian software companies that can replace American products.
    • Block Google, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. Russia already has strong equivalents that suppress Western competition and are dominant on the Russian market –  Yandex, Vkontakte, Odnoklassniki etc. Basically, Russia should create an independent information space the same way China did.
    • Russia is a major global supplier of titanium, used in aerospace, should restrict those sales to U.S. companies including Boeing.
    • Russia should also stop buying Boeing airplanes or any other American manufacturing technology and stop selling Russian rocket engines to NASA.
  • FINANCIAL MEASURES: Start DUMPING dollars and all international trade with dollars.  Request for international trading partners to facilitate trade in any currency except the  American dollar.
  • POLITICAL AND MILITARY MEASURES:

Most critically, Russia should start waging proxy wars against America, the same way the U.S. is waging a proxy war against Russia in Ukraine by supporting the anti-Russia regime in Kiev and arming fascist militias in Donbas that are killing the ethnic Russian population. Russia should seriously consider arming the Taliban in Afghanistan, Hezbollah in Lebanon, help Iran to modernize its military, sell them S-400s and facilitate joint military technology projects. Basically, Russia should prop us all nations and organizations considered by the Americans as their enemies. This will really hurt Washington. This is the only appropriate and proper reaction to Washington’s foreign policy. The enemy of my enemy is my friend – Russia should embrace the basics of a realistic foreign policy. The US neocons only understand the language of force, it’s not a time for good arguments, dialogue or discussion.

Russian FM Lavrov just stated that negotiations on Korean peninsula situation should result in the nuclear disarmament of the region. Why is Russia so eager to denuclearize Korean peninsula? It is not of vital interest to Russia. Maybe Russia should make North Korea an ally and start arming North Korea even further. Why help out America with neutralizing the Korean threat? Maybe they should help North Korea develop an even more deadly missile. This way neocons will think twice before lashing out at Russia.

  • RECONSIDER RELATIONSHIP WITH ISRAEL: Russia must reconsider its current relationship with Israel because it is wrong for so many reasons, not least because it sends mixed messages to Russian allies in the Middle East.

First steps are already taken; Israel’s ambassador has been summoned to the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. But they should be doing much more than this. The whole current crises is a consequence of Israel’s desire to prop up controlled chaos in Syria for decades to come and Russia being silent when it comes to Tel Aviv’s constant air attacks against Syria.

Why is Russia keeping silent when Israel bombs Syria, but threatens the US when it says it wants to do the same? Where’s the logic? Why can Israel do it and the US, as a world’s first superpower, cannot? If Russia is not ready to retaliate against Israel, why do they claim that they are ready to retaliate against the US? It makes no sense. Therefore, Russian should not give Israel a free pass and should impose a similar set of economic and political sanctions as in the case of the U.S.

In any case, Russia should make clear to Israel that in case of Russian-American global war, Israel will be one of the first to be wiped out with the help of the Russian nukes. This will make them think twice before instigating a global conflict against Russia.

CONCLUSION

To conclude, instead of whining and crying about illegal, illegitimate Western actions that are not in accordance with international law, Russia and Putin should take serious and concrete steps to stop them.

It is time for old echelon of Russia’s leading politicians to retire. Russian Minister of Foreign Affairs Lavrov already hinted that he wants to retire after decades of tireless and, in certain moments, brilliant service to Russia. I think Putin should let him retire and find a new, young, energetic, nationalistic FM who will first of all stop calling Western countries partners as Lavrov does on every occasion. A bully only understands a bully language and actions.

Dmitry Medvedev, current Russian Prime Minister, has been invisible for years, basically a dead man walking. The man who will go down the history as a person who allowed the West to bomb Gadhafi by not vetoing a UN resolution call for a no fly zone over Libya. Other Russian liberals should be gone also and economic and financial policy should be more nationalistic and protectionist.

President Putin is currently being too soft on too many issues. He still talks about “western partners”. Even former Israeli intel boss Yakov Kedmi thinks he should be tougher to the neocon bullies. Russia needs someone with a bit of Zhirinovsky’s manners in Russian foreign policy, especially at this very moment.

Thus, in this critical moment for the mankind, having in mind that all Western MSM are completely ignoring the danger of having WW3, Putin should go on live TV, make a breaking statement and explain to Russian citizens, and most importantly to the world, that the whole planet is on the brink of World War Three.

And finally, Russia needs to understand that this has nothing to do with Assad, Syria or even the Middle East. It has everything to do with Russia. Israel and the U.S. decided it is perfect time to inflict a humiliating defeat on Russia in Syria and take them out of this complex equation.

If Russia does nothing and hides under the table while whining and protesting against illegal American, British, French and Israelis strikes against Syrian people, it will be the ultimate defeat and humiliation for Russia and Putin. No one will want to be a Russian ally anymore, even though lots of countries are not in line to become one, to be honest.  This will be geopolitical defeat of gigantic intensity and in that case it is better that the Russians leave Syria than further humiliate themselves.

Backing down just avoids the inevitable – eventually world peace will depend on nations challenging U.S. global hegemony. Russia, foremost, stands up to the US/Israel in Syria towards the beginning of the piece.

President Putin, it is your call. Either you will go into history as the greatest Russian statesmen who ever lived under the sun or as Ivan the Terrible 2.0 whose prosperous first stage of the rule ended up in ultimate chaos, disintegration and “troubled times” in Russia.

Godspeed to you, Vladimir Vladimirovich! The destiny of Russia and the mankind is in your hands.
