On March 25, Vasily Prozorov, an officer of Ukraine’s Security Service (SBU), who had fled to Russia, held a press conference in Moscow. He revealed facts and documents regarding secret torture sites, examples of political fraud, the MH17 tragedy and other key realities of the modern Ukraine.
According to the ex-SBU officer, the Ukrainian government has established a network of secret torture sites in the area of the so-called Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO) in the eastern part of the country. One of them is located near Mariupol military airport.
Prozorov said that he has limited information regarding the torture site but it was active as of January 2017. In the two months of his rotation in the combat zone, in the summer-fall of 2014, more than 300 people passed through this torture site, which is unofficially named “Library”.
He added that according to his data, at least 2 people died from tortures there. However, the number could be bigger, Prozorov added.

He also spoke about the series of assasinations of prominent commanders of local resistance forces in the region of Donbass. He said that the SBU was behind the assassination of commanders and leaders of the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics (DPR and LPR).
“Their killing was the work of Ukraine’s special services,” he stressed denying the claims that many militia leaders had been killed in internal skirmishes.
According to Prozorov, this campaign is led by the SBU’s special unit and its staff members undergo training under the direction of instructors from the United Kingdom and other countries. They specialize in terrorist attacks and guerilla actions.
He also adressed the MH17 tragedy in eastern Ukraine in 2014.
“It is my personal opinion and it relies on certain information. The Ukrainian side is an accomplice to the Malaysian MH17 flight disaster,” Prozorov said.
In particular, he stressed that the current deputy chief of the Ukrainian presidential staff Valery Kondratyuk and chief of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry’s intelligence directorate, Vasily Burba, were responsible for concealing evidence.

The ex-officer said that the SBU is fully under control of incumbent President Petro Poroshenko and is preparing for vote rigging at the March 31 presidential election.
“I want to draw your attention that the e-voting system Vybory is fully under control of the SBU’s department for computer and information security,” Prozorov said.
“In each local election commission there will be the SBU’s staff members, who will protect the results of the vote and bulletins and escort them to the Central Election Commission. The SBU and its chair Vasily Gritsak is a structure absolutely controlled by Poroshenko,” he added.
Prozorov pointed out that another evidence of the upcoming fraud is the hike in wages of officers of the SBU’s department for computer and information security starting from February 2019.

Reagarding the involvement of foreign powers, he said that CIA service members often visit SBU offices and visit the combat zone in eastern Ukraine. He added that there are multiple foreign instructors (i.e. mercenaries) are embeded with nationalist battalions deployed in the combat zone.
