Why Euro-sceptics do not offer a solution (and why Greece did not still leave the Euro)

Greece is in a terrible situation. In a way it is worse than a military occupation, because with a military occupation you see your enemy and everything is clear, you know against whom to struggle. However, when your own government is doing what foreigners want it to do, it can be much worse.

For example, take your President Boris Yeltsin in Russia. He applied the policy that the USA and the IMF wanted him to apply and you could not protest even against the USA and the IMF.

You know, I believe that there is an international struggle to control people’s minds. It is the equivalent of Stalingrad in 1943, but it is not about a strategic location. The emerging totalitarian Empire is using deception, virtual reality, inversing of the meaning of identities and use of them against their real meaning, it is even putting in doubt the very existence or utility of the notion of Truth.

If you believe in God you believe also in Devil. The destinies of God and Devil are interrelated. In the last month, we had the US Ambassador to the European Union, Mr. Malloh, who wasn’t dealing with the problems of Germany, France, Italy, the relationship between USA and Europe, or the problems of sanctions  to Russia, but he found time to go to every single Greek TV station of some importance to explain us why we should go out of the Eurozone for our own good.

Listen, even when I was a small child, I had strong doubts about the existence of Santa Claus. I knew the gifts were bought by my parents because they loved me. Why an American financist, member of the Trump team, would love Greeks and an independent state of them in Eastern Mediterranean?

When I hear such advice, I am getting really afraid. We have seen what Germany has done to our country, “in order to save it”. Now we have the Americans who want to “save” us. What we can wait from all of them? Before we had Obama and he wanted us inside Europe. Now we have Trump who wants Greeks outside Europe. Listen, I don’ t think it is very logical or serious to enter or leave the Eurozone or European Union according to the way Americans are voting in the United States!

Donald Trump said some years ago: “Germany has to pay for Greece. But if Germany does not want to pay for Greece, let Russia pay for Greece”.

As we know, we are living in a world of deception. Politicians usually say something that is opposite of what they mean. You have to inverse their declarations to understand what to do. Maybe Donald Trump is an exception. But if he is not, the way I read his declaration, by using the “inversion method”, is

“I want to get Greece from Germany, without letting it go to Russia”.

Why do so many people in Europe have a problem with the European Union? They have a problem because this Union is not acting in the interests of the European people. It is acting in the interests of its real owners. And who are the real owners? They are hidden, but we know them. They are the huge international banks, huge international corporations, the oligarchy, the elites. These forces have hijacked the idea of European integration and are using it for their own purposes. Nevertheless, leaving the EU and going to the framework of competing nation-states does not mean that we will be, automatically, free from the same elites.

My own personal preference would be for European nations to be able to dominate over these forces and to unite against them. As Charles de Gaulle said: “We need a Europe united from the Atlantic to the Urals”, you could say a Europe from Ireland to Vladivostok, if you want. I think this is the direction we should follow.

What we see now? On the one hand, we see the party of globalization, which has put the European Union under the domination of Markets (and NATO). On the other hand, the Eurosceptic parties that make a very good critique of the European Union, but do not have any serious proposal or plan for the future of Europe. I would not prefer a chaotic break-up of the EU. I would not like to provide Finance with the possibility to replace one way of domination (globalization Fukuyama style) with an another one (Divide and Rule, permanent war, Chaos, Huntington style).

There must be collaboration and cooperation between European nations to create a democratic, social, ecological, and independent Europe.

And also you cannot solve a problem of such magnitude, only by speaking about what will be good for one particular country. You have to see a total perspective.

You cannot also address a challenge of such magnitude, which is nothing less than a challenge to our civilization, only by addressing the currency problem, or developing technical solution for the monetary policy. Like a doctor cannot treat one organ, without taking into account the whole state of the patient.

Sometimes people are asking me why Greeks seem still to like staying in the Eurozone. I have an answer. They feel they already lost their nation-state and they don’t have a leadership able to do the gigantic effort needed to address both the internal and the external threats.

Greeks know that. But in a large extent it is also the unrecognized, or half-recognized reality of nearly all European nation-states, even the most powerful ones.

So, in order to find the solution to the very complicated European problems, we should have a comprehensive strategy, and that means we have to begin taking back our countries from international finance and from the Americans, because this is not only the case of Greece. Everywhere in Europe, they control the political elites. The second thing is that we have to take back the idea of European integration from those who hijacked it.

But we do not need to destroy everything just because we do not like it. We have to have a positive program. And the program of the Eurosceptics is not enough. They do not have something to propose, even though they say that the European Union is a very bad structure and I agree 100%. And it is indeed a totalitarian structure. But the real question is how to replace with a better not a worse European order.
