Protests have been going on in the Republic of Belarus since 10 August after the results of the presidential election were announced, giving incumbent President Alexander Lukashenko a landslide victory with over 80% of the votes. Opposition supporters took to the streets to protests against the election which they described as rigged.

Supporters of President Alexander Lukashenko are gathering to march for peace and stability in Belarus, denouncing the opposition’s actions which they claim are dividing the country.
Belarus has been engulfed in anti-government protests following the disputed August 9 presidential election, that saw Lukashenko re-elected for the sixth term.
