Dec 28, 2024
The United States and the United Kingdom are preparing terrorist attacks against Russian military bases in Syrian territory, Sputnik reported on Saturday, citing statements issued by the press bureau of the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR).
According to the SVR, ISIL field commanders have been supplied with attack drones to target Russian military bases in Syria, further stating that the outgoing US administration and British leadership aim to hinder efforts to stabilize the situation in Syria.
“According to information received by the SVR, the outgoing US administration and the British leadership, with the overthrow of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, are aiming to prevent the stabilization of the situation in this country. More broadly, they aim to maintain a state of chaos in the Middle East,” the report read.

Syria: 4 Tahrir al-Sham members killed in ambush in Assad stronghold, Israel launches 35 airstrikes near Damascus
Dec 15, 2024
At least four fighters from one of the factions that are part of the armed coalition that toppled ousted Syrian President Bashar al-Assad were killed in an ambush on Saturday in the Latakia countryside, the stronghold of the ousted president, while Israel launched about 35 air strikes near Damascus.
Meanwhile, the coalition that took power in Damascus, led by the Islamic “Hayat Tahrir al-Sham,” announced that “the Military Operations Department is sending major military reinforcements to the countryside of Latakia, Tartous, and Jableh.”
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported that “at least four fighters” from the “Sham Corps” were killed in “violent clashes that broke out in the Latakia countryside between gunmen from the remnants of the former regime and members of the faction.”

Rising ugly sectarian language among pro-Jolani fans.
This dude describes the Alawites as audacious sect. Why? Because they demanded full amnesty.

Extremist groups carry out revenge, sectarian killings in HTS-controlled Syria
Dec 10, 2024
Extremist armed factions across Syria are carrying out executions of civilians and soldiers amid the chaos following the fall of Syrian president Bashar al-Assad’s government.
Al Mayadeen reports on 10 December that a video circulating on social media shows armed militants from Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), the Al-Qaeda offshoot that took control of Damascus on Saturday, carrying out field executions of unarmed men in the village of Al-Rabia in the countryside of Latakia.
The militants referred to the men as ‘Shabiha’, a derogatory term long used to describe pro-government Syrian soldiers and civilians.

A Voice From Syria on Christmas Day: ‘All of Us Are Lost’
Dec 29, 2024
Following are some key points from a discussion with my friend Qusay (not his real name) in Damascus. He is a translator and university professor. The situation in Syria continues to evolve. See the X account of Tim Anderson @TimAnd2037 for videos showing ongoing atrocities which contradict the western and allied media narrative.
Syria is secular
“I’m Muslim but we celebrate Christmas. Syria is a secular country. We celebrate all other religions and sects. I remember when I was a child, my father used to celebrate this day and say, ‘this is the day of the birth of Jesus Christ, our prophet. So we must enjoy it. We must spread love, peace.’ This is part of the Syrian mentality to celebrate all these events because we learn from this love, sacrifice, peace and these things. So this is something of our tradition. We hope this will not end.”

The Syrian nation is occupied
Dec 27, 2024
Syria is not dead, it is occupied. The two biggest NATO militaries, the Israelis and their Al-Qaeda styled terrorist proxies occupied one third of the country before 8 December 2024, now they occupy 100%. The “transitional” government led by UNSC listed terrorists, has a way to go before it receives either local or international approval; and armed and civil resistance have already emerged.
The HTS (Jabhat al Nusra, Al-Qaeda) regime has no revolutionary or democratic mandate and its sponsors are scrambling to rebrand it (HTS is still listed by the UNSC as a banned terrorist organisation) as democratic and inclusive. No doubt they will find some token collaborators. Many Syrians are reinventing themselves to survive and, in some cases, find a role in the new regime. Yet according to the UNHCR, after the HTS offensive, another million people have been “newly displaced” while few of those who fled the dirty war are returning.

Inside the Israeli, US and Turkey backed Jihadistan (former Syria)
Christians held protests across Syria after Islamists burned a Christmas tree, with demonstrators in Damascus vowing to defend themselves with arms if necessary.
Hundreds of protesters holding up crosses gathered in the Christian quarter of Bab Tuma in the capital, Damascus, after news of the fire in Suqaylabiyah, a Christian-majority town.
“Hold up your cross high,” they chanted. “We are your soldiers, Christ — the cross and the rifle are the two options.”

Destroying and Dismembering Syria
Dec 12, 2024
Western media and governments (including our despicable own in Greece) are celebrating the fall of Assad and the “liberation” of Syria. (A small reminder for those who have forgotten: Syria and the Assads have been among the friendliest international actors toward Greece and Cyprus. A little shame wouldn’t hurt.)
They are completely indifferent to the fact that those who took power in the “liberated” Syria are the very same people who made careers as ISIS and Al-Qaeda “beheaders,” the ones who planted bombs in places like the Bataclan. They do not care that the new strongman in Syria is wanted, not by Iran or Russia, but by the FBI itself.
