Cambridge Analytica’s Fascist Friends in Kiev Are Feeling The Heat

New revelations continue to be unearthed revealing Cambridge Analytica and its parent company SCL’s links to the 2014 fascist coup in Ukraine. Journalist Liam O’Hare has written the following about Cambridge Analytica/SCL’s relationship to fascist militant movements in both Ukraine and Latvia, as well as the company’s deep involvement with NATO and state-run intelligence agencies in Europe and the US. O’Hare writes,

“The organisation boasts that it has conducted “behavioral change programs” in over 60 countries and its clients have included the British Ministry of Defence, the US State Department and NATO.

A freedom of information request from August 2016, shows that the MOD has twice bought services from Strategic Communication Laboratories in recent years.

In 2010/11, the MOD paid £40,000 to SCL for the “provision of external training”. Meanwhile, in 2014/2015, it paid SCL £150,000 for the “procurement of target audience analysis”.

In addition, SCL also carries a secret clearance as a ‘list X’ contractor for the MOD. A List X site is a commercial site on British soil that is approved to hold UK government information marked as ‘confidential’ and above. Essentially, SCL got the green light to hold British government secrets on its premises.

Meanwhile, the US State Department has a contract for $500,000 with SLC. According to an official, this was to provide  “research and analytical support in connection with our mission to counter terrorist propaganda and disinformation overseas.” This was not the only work that SCL has been contracted for with the US government, the source added.

In May 2015, SCL Defense, another subsidiary of the umbrella organisation, received $1 million (CAD) to support NATO operations in Eastern Europe targeting Russia.

The company delivered a three-month course in Riga which taught “advanced counter-propaganda techniques designed to help member states assess and counter Russia’s propaganda in Eastern Europe”.

The NATO website said the “revolutionary” training would “help Ukrainians better defend themselves against the Russian threat”.

What is clear is that all of SCL’s activities were inextricably linked to its Cambridge Analytica arm.

As recently as July 2017, the website for Cambridge Analytica said its methods has been approved by the “UK Ministry of Defence, the US State Department, Sandia and NATO” and carried their logos on its website”.

It is therefore clear that Cambridge Analaytica/SCL have worked with NATO and espionage groups in order to train and promote fascist fighters throughout eastern Europe in order to threaten the sovereignty and stability of the Russian Federation, while posing a clear danger to the Russian populations of the Baltic states.

As Eurasia Future reported yesterday, the SCL website boasts about its links to the current regime in Kiev and its attempts to help the fascist aggressors to commit genocide against the Donbass people:

“SCL admits to conspiring with the fascist regime in Kiev and the British Ministry of Defence as part of a campaign of information warfare that was designed to insight sedition in the Donetsk People’s Republic and prepare a violent fascist takeover of Donetsk. It would appear from the company’s statement that the Poroshenko regime implemented some of the tactics devised by SCL as part of the wider war of aggression against the Donbass republics. This war of aggression has seen Kiev use chemical weapons against civilian targets, severing of transport to the region and engage in an all out warfare which has killed thousands of Donbass civilians.

As the Russian Federation remains committed to the Minsk II agreements which call for a de-escalation to the conflict and a political solution to the war that continues to rage after four years, it is imperative that the Russian Federation immediately sanction SCL and Cambridge Analytica as well as passing individual sanctions on the all of the directors, employees and contractors of the companies. Furthermore, Moscow must prohibit anyone associated with SCL or Cambridge Analytica from ever conducting business in the Russian Federation. Should any such individuals attempt to travel to the Russian Federation, they must be immediately arrested for their part in promoting crimes against humanity in Donbass. All other responsible nations must join Russia in these efforts.

SCL’s history with promoting fascism in Ukraine appears to date back to the so-called “Orange Revolution” in 2004. However, the current conspiracy to work for the Poroshenko regime in attempting to promote fascist aggression against Donbass is an even more serious offence. Mercenary bandit corporations such as SCL and Cambridge Analytica should not be allowed to promote the goals of a genocidal regime without facing the appropriate legal consequences”.

In spite of these efforts, Cambridge Analytica/SCL, admitted that their attempts to aid the Ukrainian regime’s war of aggression against Donbass proved ineffective due to the popular feelings resistance among anti-fascist freedom fighters in the Donbass republics. While even the most infamous election meddling and now, war meddling organisation in the world could not deter the progress of the Donbass republics, Cambridge Anaytlica’s former associates in Kiev are now facing a threat from within as far-right radicals call for the execution of other far-right radicals.

For years, factions within the Kiev regime have been at each other’s throats with one of the most notable schisms being that which brewed between former Poroshenko ally Mikheil Saakashvili and the regime he now has called to overthrow.

Even more recently, former so-called ‘Hero of Ukraine’, Nadiya Savchenko has been placed under arrest by the regime after being caught on tape calling for the assassination of major regime figures, including Poroshenko, while calling for a new “coup”. Savchenko rose to prominence after she was handed to the Russian authorities by Donbass officials. In Moscow she stood trial for murdering Russian civilian journalists in Donbass. She was released from prison in 2016 and returned to Kiev where she received a heroes welcome.

Now though, she is under arrest and is being detained on charges relating to terrorism. Just as Poroshenko’s former friend Saakashvili has been stripped of his Ukrainian citizenship and was violently expelled from the country, so too has the tide turned against Savchenko.

While companies like Cambridge Analytica/SCL have had their share of luck in meddling in elections in countries including the US, UK, India, Nigeria, Kenya and many others, it seems that for the dysfunctional regime in Kiev, there is too much discord for even high-tech brainwashing techniques to achieve success. In an age when governments and corporations have conspired to destroy nations, in Ukraine at least, things have become organic once again. The regime is busy destroying itself through bad old fashioned infighting, violence, thuggery and supreme lawlessness. It says a lot when the only political force to outdo Cambridge Analytica/SCL in terms of overall deviousness is the corrupt, fascist oligarchy in Kiev.
