With the escalation of tension in the region, the Israeli occupation state seeks to try to restore the deterrent power that has collapsed, believing that all-out war may be the best means to achieve this goal. However, reality indicates that the actual goals of the ongoing aggression against Gaza and the West Bank, including displacement and replacement, have not been achieved in the desired manner, despite making Gaza an unlivable place after all forms of destruction, genocide, and the number of victims.
Since before the Oslo Accords, and specifically since the invasion of Lebanon and the siege of Beirut in 1982, and the steadfastness of the resistance there, there has been a continuous effort to attack the ideology and doctrine of the resistance in the region, which was represented by the factions of the Palestinian revolution and the Lebanese National Movement at the time. This approach included imposing political and security entitlements on the Palestine Liberation Organization and its forced exit from Beirut, with the aim of undermining the resistance and opening the path to the mirage of a political solution under American auspices.
The necessity of formulating a regional Arab project
In light of these circumstances, there is an urgent need to formulate a real Arab regional project that aims primarily to confront the Zionist project being implemented. Zionism is not limited to the Jews only, but there is Christian and Arab Islamic Zionism also competing to implement the American project in the region. The role of the forces of the national Arab liberation movement and the resistance in its current forms today is crystallized in formulating this project based on the peoples, and defining the unusual and unprecedented responses to cross-border crimes that exceed all international laws.
Tension and regional transformations
Israel seeks to expand the scope of the war, but it faces great obstacles, as a comprehensive war is not in the interest of the United States, which believes that its interests and the relationship with its friends may be harmed. This comes at a time when the United States is leading the ongoing war and is fully aware of the magnitude of the crisis that the colonial occupation regime is experiencing in an unprecedented way since it was established as a base for the colonial powers, and it wants to preserve and protect it.
In this open war, in which Israel goes beyond the usual rules of engagement, targeting the capital, Tehran, Beirut, and other civilians. The United States, despite its unlimited support for Israel, is living in a political and military crisis as a result of its international consequences as a result of the unlimited support for the occupying state on the one hand and what it faces as a result of its involvement in the Ukraine war and the ongoing developments in the China Sea on the other hand, at a time when its economy is suffering from contraction and threats from group BRICS In addition, it is now entering the electoral decisive period, which makes it hesitant to engage in an all-out war.
From here comes the need to paint a picture of victory for Netanyahu and his government before the Israeli society, as well as for Biden, Harris and their Democratic Party in the face of multiple failures regarding the region’s file.
Expected and future responses
With the assassination of the head of the Hamas political bureau, the national leader Ismail Haniyeh, in Tehran, and the attempted assassination of a Hezbollah leader in Beirut, Damascus, Baghdad, and Yemen, the fires of conflict are igniting. With his renewed crimes, Netanyahu is trying to write the final letters of the alleged “victory” statement before his people with the approval of the American administration.
Despite the timing of targeting Hezbollah leader Fouad Shukr in the southern suburb of Beirut, this timing may be linked to the availability of rare information that provided an American-Israeli justification for targeting him with the aim of mixing up the internal Lebanese situation in preparation for an attempt to direct a military strike against Hezbollah within the framework of the vision of expanding the scope of the war. thatI mentioned it and the dishes on the gas and energy file. However, American diplomacy, based on hypocrisy and lies, is now trying to suggest that it will prevent the outbreak of a comprehensive war, but the response to the targeting of Shukr and Haniyeh has become an inevitable issue that is close to happening.
Possible deals and settlements
The acceleration of security developments may accelerate the possibilities of implementing a deal to end the conflict in Gaza and southern Lebanon under American and regional pressure. However, the assassination of Haniyeh may hinder this deal due to the inability of Hamas to engage in negotiations with Israel, which assassinated the head of its political bureau, and the role of the occupation in undermining the National Authority, which has become without authority after Netanyahu announced that the previous agreements had become null and void, and the decisions to expand settlement, confiscate lands, annexation, and attempts to the establishment of the Yahuda state ( the Jewish settlers state ) in the occupied Palestinian West Bank .
In light of these conditions, it is clear that the region is facing great challenges that require, first and foremost, the national whole to conduct a review and evaluation, leading to a unified national vision with a program and tools that are agreed upon within the framework of understanding the status and representative role of the Palestine Liberation Organization now, developing its conditions, and expanding the base of participation of all groups of our people within its frameworks. Then delegate all Files to it’s jurisdiction, and work to try to accelerate the implementation of what was agreed upon in the Beijing meeting and to combine Arab efforts with the aim of trying to create a strategic balance that guarantees the rights of peoples and maintains the stability of the region, in order to confront Netanyahu and drop his vision, which will appear more insistent on the approach of war, expansion and colonial settlement.
