Greeks against NATO policy in Ukraine. Putin the most popular foreign leader

Very interesting are the findings of the MRB trend measurement, which was presented in the main bulletin of Open TV, regarding the global political scene and its leaders.

Regarding the war in Ukraine, 68.8% answer that there should be an immediate peace agreement even if Kiev is forced to cede territory, while 14.3% answer that the war should continue until Ukraine’s final victory.

According to the responses of citizens, Russian President Vladimir Putin gathers more positive opinions (31.8%) than any other leader.

At the same time, the re-elected US President Donald Trump comes in second place with 29.8% positive opinions, while the French President Emmanuel Macron appears in third place with 27.7% positive opinions.

The findings in detail:

Vladimir Putin: 31.8% positive opinions, 47.6% negative, 17.2% neither positive nor negative

Donald Trump: 29.8% positive opinions, 44.1% negative, 21.9% neither positive nor negative

Emmanuel Macron: 27.7% positive opinions, 42% negative, 26% neither positive nor negative.

Xi Jinping: 17.2% positive opinions, 37.9%% negative, 25.9% neither positive nor negative.

Volodymyr Zelensky: 15.4% positive opinions, 60.4% negative, 20.7% neither positive nor negative

Ursula von der Leyen: 15.3% positive opinions, 52.4% negative, 24.1% neither positive nor negative.

Joe Biden: 14.3% positive opinions, 60.2% negative, 22.4% neither positive nor negative

Keir Starmer: 12.3% positive opinions, 41% negative opinions, 28.9% neither positive nor negative

Benjamin Netanyahu: 11.8% positive opinions, 60.6% negative opinions, 19% neither positive nor negative

Olaf Scholz: 9.3% positive opinions, 56.8% negative, 24.6% neither positive nor negative
Recep Tayyip Erdogan: 6.5% positive opinions, 80% negative, 10.2% neither positive nor negative.

In parallel, according to the MRB survey, 45.4% see Donald Trump’s re-election in the US positively, while the 44.6% see this development negatively.

MRB Trends: Which foreign country do citizens trust. Regarding the degree of trust in foreign countries:

30.4% trust France
18.7% the USA
18.3% Russia
17.2% China
14.7% Germany
14.5% England
12.2% Israel
4.7% Turkey

MRB Trends: Citizens want a non-political person for President

The findings of the MRB trends for the person of the President of the Republic are interesting.

Specifically, when citizens were asked about the desired characteristics of the President of the Republic, only 32.1% answered “to come from the field of politics”, while 51.4% answered “to come from another field (academic or technocratic)”.
Almost one in two participants (46%) in the survey prefers the next President “to have no political orientation”.

In contrast, 21.7% answered that the new President should come from the Center-Left and 20.9% from the Center-Right.

However, 59.2% of those surveyed consider it necessary to elect a new person to the country’s highest office, compared to 23.5% who prefer the re-election of Katerina Sakellaropoulou.
