Pablo Iglesias gave an interview in El Mundo and said: “Unfortunately Greece is a protectorate with a government that cannot take decisions because of the bad administration of the previous Greek governments.”
Amongst else he reminded a statement of Luis de Guindos the minister of economy who stated: “Eurogroup is going to decide a bigger cut on Greek pensions and not the Greek government.”
Moreover Pablo Iglesias said: “The Greek Prime Minister did whatever he could. I hope that this situation may change in order for SYRIZA to be able to implement its program. But the reality is that Greece is a protectorate, an event which is terrible in the frame of the EU, being a state member of the EU without the domination to be in the hands of those who govern it. This is not the case for Spain and this is not about to become.”
