The former London Mayor said Brexit would usher in Boris Johnson as Prime Minister so he would think about “emigrating to somewhere the economy is not going to collapse”.
His comments, in his local newspaper the Ham and High, come just days after it was reported Labour bosses had blocked him from making media appearances after deciding he was “uncontrollable”. Mr Livingstone has denied the claims.
The political veteran outlined the scenario he believes would take place if the UK votes Leave in the 23 June referendum.
He said: “Cameron would be gone within days and Boris would be our Prime Minister. He has secured a huge block of support amongst the Tory Party members who want to leave.
“I would personally start thinking about emigrating to somewhere the economy is not going to collapse.”
